More Info
This White Puerh Tea is composed entirely of hand-picked, pure white buds from tea plants grown in Yong De county of Lincang in Yunnan. From the Jinggu large leaf arbor cultivar, picked in early April (pre-Qing Ming) grown using biodynamic organic farming.
It is not a conventional white tea, as white teas are simply picked and dried, while this was processed in a way like Green (Sheng) Puerh teas. It was picked, withered, pan fired, and sun dried, creating a flavor profile that is different and more assertive than conventional white tea. Although it does not have the typical bitter sharpness of a green puerh, its flavour is sweet, mellow, malty and delicately fragrant.
A truly excellent white tea for lovers of both white and puerh teas.
