From the diverse and striking province of Guangdong on the Southeast coast of China, this black tea has been infused with the tropical, sweet tasting Lychee fruit. To make this tea the peel of the fruit is added to the black tea leaves during the oxidation process, scenting the leaves with a wonderful fruity aroma.
The distinct taste from the Lychee livens up the black tea creating a wonderful combination for anyone who likes lots of flavour and excitement in their life. With the addition of the Lychee peel in the tea even the colour is more vibrant!
The Lychee has been cultivated in China for thousands of years; there are even records of it from as early as 2000BCE. Since the 1st Century the Lychee has been in constant demand in China but it was not introduced to the West until the 18th Century.
